As you know by now, my name is Jaclyn Szabo and I am a Southern California based wedding and portrait photographer. I pride myself in capturing all of the milestones in your life from engagement sessions, to weddings to family portraits.

You’re probably wondering how I got here…

I have my bachelors degree in commercial photography from Brooks Institute and am so grateful to have 10 years of experience in shooting weddings and portraits.

Creativity and entrepreneurship have always been a part of my life.

Growing up in a household full of entrepreneurs and artists (my mom an interior designer, my sister a painter) my photography was always supported. I was always the archivist from a young age, photographing family get-togethers and friends with whatever film camera I could get my hands on. I remember looking through my parents old photo albums and treasuring them and I wanted to do that for my own life. 

I graduated from Brooks Institute where I dabbled in all kinds of photography, mostly portraiture and fashion. I even went to men’s fashion week in Paris to take photos and was represented by Vogue Italia for a while.

Once I got out of school I shot my first wedding in 2010 and loved it! I loved the mix of love, emotions ,and REAL  moments… that felt right to me. After that I knew I wanted to continue on with weddings and portraiture. The rest is history! 

My husband James and I have been married since 2019 together for 8 years total. We first connected over a shared love of photography and road trips. We had our daughter Hadley dec of 2021 and are loving seeing her grow! She is so spirited and has a great sense of humor already! She just started walking and she is my little bff, I feel so lucky I have been able to be home with her while working.
